Thomas "TJ" Cote, MBA, CAE
Founder & President
Thomas “TJ” Coté, MBA, CAE is the Founder and President of NextGen AMC and a nationally recognized association executive. His career has focused on helping professional societies and mission-driven organizations strengthen governance, grow membership, and deliver meaningful value to their communities.
TJ currently serves as Executive Director for multiple national and state associations, working closely with boards and volunteer leaders to guide strategy, strengthen operations, and position organizations for long-term success.
Throughout his career, TJ has helped organizations expand membership, increase revenue, strengthen community engagement, and successfully advance legislative and professional priorities that support the fields they represent.
TJ is deeply involved in the association profession and is a past chair of the Certified Association Executive (CAE) Commission through the American Society of Association Executives. He previously served as Chair of the Empire State Society of Association Executives (ESSAE) and was selected as a Diversity Executive Leadership Program (DELP) Scholar, a national leadership development program within ASAE.
Through NextGen AMC, TJ brings a strategic, relationship-driven approach to association management that helps organizations innovate, grow, and deliver greater impact for the professionals and communities they serve.

Our team works collaboratively to support the day-to-day operations of the organizations we serve while ensuring that boards and leadership teams receive thoughtful guidance, responsive service, and strategic support.
